The goal of the AWARE project is to bring about change in knowledge and behavior through a comprehensive breast cancer education and awareness program for low income and uninsured women ages 40-64. The CMWP staff empowers women to take charge of their own health by teaching them the importance of monthly self-breast examinations (SBE) and annual mammograms.
